City Dance Corps hosts a Latin Social once a month. Each social kicks off with dance lessons in Salsa and other featured Latin dances, then continues into the night with great music and social dancing. Whether you are new to Salsa or a seasoned addict, our Socials are fun, casual and a great way to meet new people.

Introducing CDC's Social Dance Challenge. And here are the rules

Social Dance Challenge

WHAT

The Social Dance Challenge is an improptu and friendly dance competition between couples on the dance floor who compete to win the title of
Dance Floor Favourites and win $100.00. The decision is narrowed down by audience vote and the final decision is made by one of our dance professionals.

WHO

Anyone can join, but you must join as a couple and dance as a couple. The songs will be chosen by our DJ and dancers will do their best freestyle to the chosen song. You don't have to be a professional dancer, just creative and connected to your partner.

HOW

Sign up on the night of the social with our reception desk. It's that easy!

RULES
◾Dancers must sign up as a couple and dance as a couple
◾The dance must consist of partner work. Shines may be done, but the dance can not be 100% shines
◾Lifts, tricks, shines etc are allowed, but remember this is a Social Dance Challenge and the partner work must be the majority of the challenge
◾Dancers must be prepared to dance to Salsa, Bachata and Cha Cha to the songs chosen by the DJ
◾A minimum of three couples will be needed for the Social Dance Challenge to run
◾Costumes are not required

Today is a very sad day for the music world lost a special friend and music legend Tony Pabon who you may all remember the song I LIKE IT LIKE THAT.on pete rodriguez orquesta. Tony Pabon and Manny Rodriguez originally wrote "I Like It Like That (A Mi Me Gusta Asi)" in 1967. Boogalo musician Pete Rodriguez later covered "I Like It Like That (A Mi Me Gusta Asi)" that year, from his album of the same name.

Here we can appreciate tony's voice once more in the production
of the 1974 Tony Pabon Y La protesta - El Capitan
